Go to student.lena.africa and tap Create Account. Enter your name, email, and a password. You’ll be taken to the email verification screen.

Verify your email
Check your email for a 6-digit one-time password (OTP) code. Enter it on the verification screen to activate your account. Once verified, you’ll be prompted to set up your school profile.
The OTP expires after 10 minutes. If it expires, tap Resend OTP to get a new one.

Add your school profile
Search for your school by name. Select it, then fill in your details:
K-12 schools: Choose your grade and arm (e.g., JSS 1, Arm A)
Universities: Select your faculty, department, and level
Your school profile is saved and you’ll see your student dashboard.

Join your first course
Your teacher will give you an entry code. Tap Add Course or Join Course, enter the code, and you’re in. The course will appear on your dashboard.

Explore your course
Once joined, you’ll see your course dashboard with tabs for study materials, assignments, quizzes, discussions, and more. You’re ready to learn!

Search for your school and select your role as a teacher. Your school profile becomes active immediately and you’ll see your teacher dashboard.

Create your first course
Tap Create Course on your dashboard. Give it a title, description, and configure the settings. Once published, an entry code is generated for your students. You’ll see the course detail screen with your new entry code.

Share the entry code
Give your students the entry code so they can join. You can find it on the course detail screen. Students will be able to join immediately using this code.

Add content
Upload study materials, create assignments, build quizzes, and post announcements. Your course is live! Students will see new content as soon as you publish it.

Enter your school name and type (K-12, University, or Other)
Set your school size
Add your school logo and contact information
The school type cannot be changed after creation. It determines the academic structure available (grades vs faculties).

Set up academic structure
Configure your school’s academic structure:
K-12: Create grades (e.g., JSS 1, SS 2) and arms (e.g., Arm A, Arm B)
University: Create faculties and departments
Then create an academic session and terms/semesters. You’ll see your academic structure reflected on the school dashboard.

Add users
Add students, teachers, and other admins — one at a time or via Excel bulk import. When you import users, Lena automatically creates accounts for them with a default password (their last name in lowercase). You’ll receive a list of login credentials to distribute to your users. Added users will appear in your school’s user directory.
