Adding a school profile
After creating your account (or at any time from your profile settings), you can add a school profile:Select your school
Tap on your school from the search results. You’ll see the school’s name, type, and logo confirmed on screen.
Choose your role
Select whether you’re joining as a Student or Teacher.
School Admin profiles are created when you create a school or when an existing admin adds you. You can’t self-assign as an admin.
Fill in your details
The information you need to provide depends on the school type:
- K-12 Schools
- Universities
For students:
- Grade — Select your grade level (e.g., JSS 1, SS 2, Primary 3)
- Arm — Select your arm or class section (e.g., Arm A, Gold, Science)
- No additional academic details required

Switching between schools
If you have profiles at multiple schools, you can switch between them:- Tap your profile icon or open the account menu
- You’ll see a list of your school profiles
- Tap the school you want to switch to

Editing your school profile
To update your school-specific information (e.g., changing your grade or level):- Go to Account Settings → School Info
- Select the profile you want to edit
- Update the relevant fields and save
Removing a school profile
If you no longer need a school profile:- Go to Account Settings → School Info
- Find the profile you want to remove
- Tap Delete Profile and confirm

Your school needs to be registered on Lena first. Ask your school
administrator to create the school at
school.lena.africa. Once created, it will
appear in search results.
Can I be a student at one school and a teacher at another?
Can I be a student at one school and a teacher at another?
Yes. Each school profile has its own role. You can be a student at one
school and a teacher (or admin) at another with the same Lena account.

- Deleting a profile removes you from one school but keeps your account and other profiles - Deleting your account permanently removes everything — all profiles, all data, all access. See Managing Your Profile for details.
