Learn how school profiles work on Lena — adding a profile, switching between schools, and setting up K-12 or university details.
A school profile links your Lena account to a specific school. It defines
your role (student, teacher, or admin) and stores school-specific information
like your grade, department, or admin permissions. You can have profiles at multiple schools — for example, if you teach at two
schools or study at a school and a coaching center.
Before you begin: You need an existing Lena account. See Creating Your
Account if you’re new to Lena.
After creating your account (or at any time from your profile settings), you can
add a school profile:
1
Search for your school
Type your school’s name in the search bar. Lena will show matching schools.

2
Select your school
Tap on your school from the search results. You’ll see the school’s name, type, and logo confirmed on screen.
3
Choose your role
Select whether you’re joining as a Student or Teacher.
School Admin profiles are created when you create a school or when an existing admin adds you. You can’t self-assign as an admin.

5
Submit your profile
Tap Submit or Create Profile. Your school profile is now active and you can start using Lena with that school. You’ll be taken to your dashboard for the selected school.
Removing a school profile disconnects you from that school. You won’t be
able to access courses, grades, or materials from that school unless you
re-add the profile.
Your school needs to be registered on Lena first. Ask your school
administrator to create the school at
school.lena.africa. Once created, it will
appear in search results.
Can I be a student at one school and a teacher at another?
Yes. Each school profile has its own role. You can be a student at one
school and a teacher (or admin) at another with the same Lena account.
What's the difference between deleting a profile and deleting my account?
Deleting a profile removes you from one school but keeps your account
and other profiles - Deleting your account permanently removes
everything — all profiles, all data, all access. See Managing Your
Profile for details.
