# Teacher Guide

> Everything teachers need to know about using Lena — creating courses, managing content, building assessments, and grading.

The Lena Teacher App is your command center for creating courses, delivering
content, running assessments, and tracking student progress. Whether you teach
at a K-12 (primary and secondary school) or a university, the Teacher App gives
you everything you need to manage your classes.

  The Teacher App is available on the web at
  [teacher.lena.africa](https://teacher.lena.africa) and as a native app on
  **iOS** and **Android**. Your data syncs across all devices.

## Your dashboard

When you open the app, you land on the **Home** screen — your course dashboard.
Courses are organized into three tabs:

| Tab           | What it shows                                                               |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Published** | Active courses that students can see and enroll in                          |
| **Drafts**    | Courses you're preparing but haven't published yet (only you can see these) |
| **Closed**    | Archived courses from previous terms/semesters                              |

<Tip>
  Use descriptive course titles and codes to stay organized. "Mathematics -
  SS2 (Senior Secondary) Arm (class section) A" is easier to find than "Math."

## App navigation

The Teacher App has three main tabs:
