# School settings

> Change your school’s details, hand the school to another admin, or delete it, and manage your own account.

Settings holds your school's details and your own account. Open the account menu (top right) and choose **Settings**,
or search for "Settings". It has **Profile**, **School** and **Account**, and the owner also sees **Manage school**.

## Change your school's details

Only the school's **owner** can do this. Other admins see the details but can't change them.

**1. Open School**

In Settings, choose **School**.

**2. Change what you need**

You can change the logo, **School name**, **Description**, **Address**, **Estimated student size**, **School phone
number**, **School email** and **School website**. You can't change the school type.

**3. Save**

Choose **Save changes**.

## Hand the school to another admin

The owner can make another admin the owner, for example when they leave the school. You stay a Superadmin.

**1. Start the transfer**

In Settings, choose **Manage school**, then **Transfer ownership**.

**2. Choose the new owner**

Choose the **New owner**. Only an admin who has accepted their invitation can own the school.

**3. Confirm with a code**

Choose **Email me a code**. Enter the **Code from your email** and choose **Confirm code**.

**4. Transfer it**

Choose **Transfer ownership**.

## Delete your school

> Deleting a school deletes it with its students, teachers, courses and work. It can't be undone.

In Settings, choose **Manage school**, then **Delete school** under **Danger zone**. Type the school's name to
confirm, get and enter a code from your email the same way as above, then choose **Delete school**. Only the owner can
do this.

## Your own account

* **Profile** has your photo, name, username and email.
* **Account** is where you change your password, sign out, or delete your account. Deleting your account removes it
  from every school you're part of.

## Troubleshooting
