Open the account menu (your picture, top right) and choose **Settings**. Only the owner can change them; see [school settings](https://support.lena.africa/schools/school-settings.md) | > | **Manage school** | The owner only: **Transfer ownership** and **Delete school** | > | **Account** | **Change password**, **Sign out**, **Delete account** | ## Your profile Change your name, username or picture in **Profile**, then choose **Save changes**. Your profile is the same at every school. ## Change your email **1. Start the change** In **Profile**, next to **Email**, choose **Change**. **2. Enter the new email and your password** Enter your **New email** and **Current password**, then choose **Send code**. Lena sends a code to the new email. **3. Confirm with the code** Enter the 6-digit code and choose **Confirm change**. You'll see "Email updated". Sign in with the new email from now on. ## Change your password Go to **Account** and choose **Change password**. Enter your **Current password**, a **New password** and **Confirm new password**, then choose **Update password**. The new one follows the [password rules](https://support.lena.africa/get-started/sign-in.md#password-rules). Lena then signs you out on your other phones and computers. You stay signed in on this one. ## Preferences Preferences apply only on the device where you set them. Set them again on each device you use. * **Timezone**: the time zone Lena shows dates and times in. **Default** follows your device. * **Default calendar view**: whether the calendar opens on **Day**, **Week** or **Month** (Month to start with). * **Pass mark** (students): grades below it are flagged "At risk" on your Grades page. Choose from 40% to 80%; it starts at 70%. It's your own guide, not your school's rule. * **Lena Agent suggestions** (teachers): whether to show Lena Agent when your school hasn't turned it on. ## Storage on this device In **Preferences**, under **Storage**, **Storage used** shows how much space Lena takes up on this device. * **If a file or picture looks out of date**, choose **Clear cache**. Lena fetches it again. Everything else catches up by itself once you're online. * **To free up space**, choose **Clear saved data** (teachers) or **Delete offline data** (students). Files you've opened will need a connection until you open them again. Your courses stay, and so does any work waiting to send. ## Delete your account Go to **Account** → **Delete account** and confirm with your password. This permanently deletes your account and its data at every school, and it can't be undone. A teacher who owns a running course is asked to give it to another teacher, or end it, first. To leave one school but keep your account, see [leave a school](https://support.lena.africa/get-started/schools-and-profiles.md#leave-a-school). ## Troubleshooting > [accordion] “That’s already your email. Enter a different one.” > > The new email is the one you already use. Enter a different address. > [accordion] “That email is already in use. Try another.” > > Another Lena account has that email. If it's an old account of yours, sign in to it instead, or use another address. > [accordion] “Old password does not match” or “That password is incorrect.” > > The **Current password** is wrong. If you've forgotten it, sign out and use [Forgot > password?](https://support.lena.africa/get-started/sign-in.md#forgot-your-password). > [accordion] “That code didn’t work. Please try again.” > > The code is wrong or out of date. Choose **Resend code**, then use the code in the newest email. > [accordion] “Passwords don’t match.” > > **New password** and **Confirm new password** must be the same. > [accordion] Lena won’t accept my new password > > Make sure every item on the checklist is ticked, and that the password isn't like your name or email, a very common > one, or only numbers.
